Kevin Hansen aims for Lydden Hill RX Lites victory

“The past two races have been great, the speed is so good and I feel it’s no problem to find the setup of the car we want. The balance is very consistent and it’s really great to have such a strong platform to work from. I think we have a great setup for tarmac driving, so we can be fast straight away at Lydden. I just hope that luck can be on my side this time,” said the Red Bull Peugeot Hansen Junior Team driver. “In Portugal I always seemed to be starting on the outside of the grid which meant we lost out in the first corner, then at Skovde we were easily leading the final before the car got damaged.”

Hansen considers the Lydden Hill circuit to be like a home venue. He developed his rallycross skills competing in the British Rallycross Championship Junior category and won the title in 2013.

“Lydden is one of my favourite tracks, there’s a lot of tarmac and it’s so fluid and nice. I’ve raced a lot there in the British Championship and been testing there in the past too, so I know the track very well. I think it can be a really good event for me. My team manager Graham [Rodemark] was with me when I raced in the British Championship so it will be great go back to Lydden with him, to where I started my rallycrosscareer.”

Hansenis currently second in the RX Lites Championship standings, just four points behind leader Kevin Eriksson.
